About V/Line

 

V/Line is Victoria’s regional public transport provider, giving all Victorians opportunities through travel and transport – safely connecting them to jobs, education, family and friends, services, tourism and trade.

 

V/Line operates more than 2,340 passenger rail services between Melbourne and regional centres each week. Our coaches provide more than 1,500 connecting services across our rail network. V/Line is also a freight access provider and maintains 3,556 kilometres of rail track. V/Line is at the forefront of state-shaping growth and change as a key contributor and deliverer of projects, providing advice and expertise to the wider transport industry on the development of the regional rail network, supporting the benefits realisation of these projects.
